Operation ReachBack, Inc. Portland Chapter
"Climbing upward, reaching back."
Our Vision
Our Story
The vision of the Portland Chapter aligns with the vision of the national organization: To be the primary organization through which Seventh-day Adventists and others address the social needs of Black communities.
Portland's first introduction to Operation ReachBack, Inc. was in August 2009, when Family Literacy Centers, Inc. established its first Portland literacy center, bringing much-needed tutoring and literacy services to the Cully community. Through the dedication and hard work of several professionals and volunteers, the Portland Chapter was born and officially established in April 2010. We've been going strong for nearly four years and we hope to continue for many years to come!
